I'm running W7 64bit on my laptop and new home computer. My laptop is still using the RC version and my home computer runs a licensed ultimate. Thanks for your answer. Luckily I coud solve it last night making a restore of the laptop to two days earlier. The problem had started 2 days ago when I made a home network with the desktop. I have the same problem and have already tried your suggestions but wasn't successful. The router is connected but with no internet access I will try to get the essential steps here but you may need to look for a little bit of additional info if not used to working with the CMD prompt box.

I was able to connect use IE 8 and then did a Smart Update in Spyware Doctor and detected three high-level viruses that were causing the problem. I had the same problem. Good IP. Tried the DNS flush. Tried the winsock and IP resets. THe comments on firewall sparked my recollection. Turned out that disabling my Webroot firewall eliminated the problem and internet access was restored.
